i have a 300ex and i have an aftermarket pipe and jets i have heard that if you take off the airbox it increases power but would that make the filter wear quicker and would i have to adjust my jets?
please help

 

I have the same set up.... if you remove the air box you need to increase the main jet size... I have a Dyno Jet Stage Two kit on my 300ex and when I took the air box off it was too much so go bigger than that.... Otherwise too much air not enough fuel
