Im going to order new shocks within the next month and am undecided on which brand to get. I get different opinions on them. Do any of you guys have these shocks or have rode a quad that does? If I get the PEP shocks I will just get the standard race fronts, not ZPS. Nacs tells me PEP and Denton Racing tells me TCS!?! And both sell both brand of shocks. So whats your opinions guys? Thanks,

Nick

Noone has any comments about these shocks?

Gabe, you've already helped me enough so you don't really need to reply.

I have had both and I did like them both. However, I like the PEP ZPS better than I liked the TCS SCS shocks. I think that the ZPS are better all around. Both are excellent for jumping, but the ZPS are actually more plush on smaller hits. However, you are never going to get PEP shocks as fast as you can get TCS so I would say go with the TCS. They work awesome, are of good quality and you will get them quickly. I hope that helps.

I have TCS SCS, they are just amazing for jumping, but for all around I'm not happy at all, they are so stiff, I mostly do XC and I'm finish always so tired they don't absorb the small hits so well. I haven't use PEP's.

I am looking to buy shocks for my 86 250R and am wondering the same thing. I weigh 230 with all my gear on and will be using stock length a-arms. I will be racing hare scrambles and want something very plush yet able to absorb the big hits.

Are Works shocks up to the demands of racing?

Thanks.

Paul

I don't think Works are up to MX racing. Mine start to "bounce" after about 3 laps. (Of course it may be I am just getting tired... ) Anyway, I like them a lot for thrashing around and trail riding. Also, they are great for big jumps. I have to land really badly to bottom out the fronts. Of course, now the rear it bottoming out..
Mine are triple rate no rez. Maybe rez would help for MX but I am not sure.

Oh yeah, no sag on mine either

i have the same problem that you do. i want to get new shocks but i don't know which would be better. the pep shocks are cheaper but may not be as good. i ride on a friend's private mx track and need some new shocks. mine are bottoming out real bad. anyone know n e thing about the tcs or pep standard shocks? what about the works triple rates? does n e 1 know if nacs still has tcs fronts for $650 or are they $750 from them now? other places have them for $750 but my buddy's 2000 catalog and their website has them as $650. HELP! what do u think about the PEP and TCS? i need to know ASAP.
