Default supertrapp exaust

hey i was wondering if anyone has a supertrapp exaust for their 300ex and wether it is good or not compared to some other top products? and i was also wondering wether it is normal for the axle to move from side to side in the swingarm. it is barely noticable but i have never owned a sport atv so i am unsure. thanks

Supertrapp racing series exhaust is a great exhaust that is tunable. Add more discs for more flow/power/noise.

If your axle is moving side to side, it needs to be tightened. There is a huge lock nut and nut on the side of the axle next to the brake. Loosen the lock nut and adjust the big nut until the axle is tight. Once tight, re-tighten the locking nut.

If it is not that, chances are you might need new axle bearings in the axle carrier.

Welcome to the forums...As for the supertrapp exhuast I wouldn't waist my money and it will be causing more harm and losing power then gaining any...Sure it might be loud, but you will have loss of back pressure and will wind up causing engine damage down the road...If it were up to me and I was looking for an exhuast I would say go with an HMF, Sparks(if available for the 300), or White Bro's, but just don't get the supertrapp...As for the play in the rearend I would say that it is due to one of your axle bearings that is shot, but if the chain is off and you can move the whole axle both bearings are shot...Since one or 2 are shot you should replace both and replace the oil seals and check your axle carrier to see if it is scored badly and needs replacing...If you need help I would be glad to help you and if you get it undone now is a good time to see if you need replacing of the chain and sprockets(if one is bad replace all of the components)

well we traded a motorcycle for it (it just sits in our garage). the guy was selling it for 1500 and we just traded bikes. we checked it all out and took it for a 5 hour ride before we traded so we know its not a peice of crap (the guy took good care of his bike). im sure we got a great deal on that. it came with the supertrapp on it and chain and sprockets are new. i would have gotten a white brothers e series if i had my preference of any pipe but the supertrapp will have to do for now. i ordered a k&n for it and we are going to mod the airbox before our trip fathers day. i tightened the nut on the axle and it seems to be fine. we will find out this weekend. i see alot of guys have jet kits on their rides and is the performance worth the $60+? thanks. these forums are a great deal of help! If you add an exhaust or mess with the airbox lid or put on a new filter the jet kit is a must oy you will run lean and it will cause engine failure...So I would recommend getting a jet kit with a new pilot and main along with a needle if the guy before you haden't done so already and then you will need top fine tune the carb when the jets are assembled...The axle could be loose because maybe he forgot to tighten it if he was messing with the rear, but it will loosen up from the bearings which I would say is the case in play in the rear.
