I just put a new chain on my 250x yesterday but my chain problem remains.Whenever I give it a lot of gas to pick up speed for a jump the chain slips.I hear a loud clicking noise and when I try to pop a wheelie and I cant get the front end off the groung so I think it is slipping, when I feel the chain it is always tight.Any suggestions on how to fix it?

you should buy new sprockets. How long have you had them? My quad did that for a while in the middle nowhere and we got lost. my chain wouldn't go back on and i lost my temper and my dad towed me out. When I go home, I noticed that my fron't sprocket was worn and the teeth were twisted. Check it very carefully and look for any bends.

A good rule of thumb is too always change your sprockets when you replace the chain. Using old sprockets with a new chain may cause damage or chain slipping. Using new sprockets with an old chain will cause premature sprocket wear and possible damage.
