2001 Rancher350 ES Unable to get it in Reverse
Went riding on my Honda Rancher 350 ES today was on a steep incline trying to back out, cause going forward wasn't an option. I tried to put it in reverse and it wouldn't engage it had been working fine previously that day and it just up and stopped working at a horrible moment. All the other gears work perfectly it just wont go below neutral and into reverse. If any can offer some advice or insight on what the prob could be it would be a huge help.

Either the reverse lock system cable needs adjusting , or the reverse wire came off the reverse switch which is beside the reverse lock system lever at the bottom rear of the engine .. Probably it is the wire & boot came off the reverse switch..

Hey today I'm having the same problem with my 2003 Honda 350ES. Exept I'm not much of a mechanic! I just know how to ride. So can you make things a little clearer for me as to were to find this reverse switch please.
Thank you;

at the rear bottom of the engine .. You will see the reverse lock-out lever & the reverse lock-out cable .. Right beside it you will see the reverse switch the reverse switch wire should be plugged into it , you will see the wire it has a bubber boot on it
