A guy is wanting to trade me for his 400EX its a 2001, it has a white bros pipe, Stage 2 hot cam, ported cylinder head and a few extra sets of plastic.

But it needs wheel bearings, A-Arm bushings and steering stem bushings he has the parts just not installed. Does this mean its been rode hard??

Also he wants to trade me for my '91 Pontiac Firebird and its pretty prestine condition.

What are somethings to watch for on the 400EX's, I was kind of looking for a Z or KFX something liquid cooled and reverse. Do you guys think this would be a good trade?

I had a 300ex but I really didnt like it are they anything alike i remember my 300 was real tipsy.

well if the '91 is in the condition you say it is it's probably your baby. i wouldnt trade for that if i was you...with all the parts it's probably been beat pretty bad..and its 6 years old already..thats alot of beating lol...just my thoughts...id save up some money so you can keep both.

 

Yea it sounds like its been beat up a little he said it had a full pipe on it but he said he rolled it a broke it, the reason why im selling my Firebird is because my insurance is 210.00 a month and im not able to afford it being in high school and all.

 

Selling it would probably be a better idea...i dont know what it's worth but maybe you could find a nice deal on a car and then have some money left over to put towards a nicer 400

 

Wel, read what almost every single person on the different forums use to describe Hondas 'bullet proof 'solid reliability', etc.
I'm sure that seven years is not the normal life for a quad that has been taken care of. If you were looking at a 91 firebird with the description of his quad, you'd think twice.
03250bayou has the best isea, sell your 'bird get a cheaper car and a 400ex-z-kfx in better shape!
