300ex carb help

I just recently got a cam and higher comp. piston. one local shop told me i should get a bigger carb....another said dont worry about it. Any ideas??? will it help out? if so where at low..mid..or top? all help is appreciated

I want to also get a bigger carb. I heard it helps all around power from some people and other say it just helps the top end.

I know with my quad it help more on low end than top

AdrenalinJunkie,

I have a friend that put my stock 400ex carb on his 300ex when I upgraded to a 39mm FCR for my 400ex. He has about the same mods as you do. It helped quit a bit all around. You will have to change the needle position and main jet and adjust to your area and quad..
