I have a 93 300ex I bought recently used and the guy put a really loud DG Xccelerator exhaust with no baffling and no spark arrestor. I want to take it on the trails (and stop annoying my neighbors) and I know that is illegal. What is a good reasonably priced muffler with good performance still for that quad. Thanks for the help!

 

This engine needs a header more than anything else! The stock one is pathetic....

When I had a 300EX, I ran an FMF PowerCore 4 with quiet core and spark arrestor. It surprisingly came with a header...at no extra cost! It had great performance, and the sound output was moderate.

Today, I would run the FMF Q2, hoping that it would be even quieter. Not sure if it comes with a header or not?????

I just put the FMF powercore4 on mine, full system for 279$, you will be hard pressed to find a better deal then that. The differance is noticable and it really isnt obnoxiously loud either. I would go with that one.

 

do they have a exaust pipe for atvs that can make it sound like those cars that have big mufflers and sound kinda like a race car

 

Do you guys know of anywhere I can just get the silencer and spark arrestor for this pipe? I see they make an insert that replaces the regular round piece that has like fins and is a legal spark arrestor and muffles it some, but do you know where I can get just that piece not the whole muffler?
