Default New atv owner!

Hi everyone. I just bought an '01 400ex today. It has an aftermarket exhaust, nerf bars and a few different things. I just have some basic questions. I own a honda prelude so I know that maintenance on hondas is sometimes tricky. I searched already so I just need some more help. I have a small gas leak it seems. I also need to change the oil (and know what type etc. to use) and do some regular maintenance. I also need new plastic and some other things so If there is a forum seller please let me know. It seems to have been ridden pretty hard but for 1500 I got a pretty good deal. Thanks

Basic oil info: http://forums.atvconnection.co...tid/8/threadid/522394

I highly recommend Maxiam Extra, ester synthetic. The valve train on the EX holds up best with the thicker oils. I live in the hot southwest, and run 10W40 in winter and 15W50 in summer.

Don't neglect valve adjustments!

Nothing at all "tricky" about mainaining this machine!
