I recently purchased a 2003 Honda TRX300ex with a blown motor. I went online a purchased a used 2000 300ex motor. Are there any issues with putting an older motor into a newer ATV? Does anyone know if the wiring is all the same?

all 300ex are the same intill 06 when they changed plastics and how to get into reverse.i think the only diff between 00 and 03 was the color.im swapin the motor on my 300ex also im putting in an 86 atc 350x motor in. for that swap i need an 350x harness, cdi and a costum header.
