Default 2006 2007 2008 Honda Rubicon

Last year I purchased a 2006 Rubicon for my wife. She wanted her own atv to ride with me. This year she decided she didn't want it anymore. (Another child on the way). So I sold it. I agonized whether to sell it or keep it and sell my polaris. After time has passed I wish I had done just that. I liked the rubicon alot. Just my personal preference.

Anyway, I am now trying to sell the polaris and buy a rubicon. Can someone tell me if there have been any changes from the 2006-2008 models. I am aware of the changes that were made from 2005>2006 models.

Thanks in advance.

as far as i was told by the dealer there was no mechanical changes just a little body, for instance the 2006 has 2 rear tail lights adn the 07 has one. that is all that i was told. i don't blame you rubicons are awsome.

Smart move going back to Rubicon. I have been through 3 new ATVs including Arctic Rat 650, Rincon and now Rubicon. I am happy now. I agree with Chenowith that the changes from 06 to 07 are only cosmetic. They are in my opinion best all around ATV out there.

I've been thinking about getting Rubicon to replace an 01 Grizzly I bought used and have had nothing but trouble with. Meanwhile the 01 Rancher I got used at the same time has been great.

From what I can tell, there haven't been any upgrades to the 08 rubicon, the only difference I noticed on the honda site was that the factory warranty is 1 year for the 08 instead of 6 months on the 07. If they aren't changing much on them the design must be good.

From what I've read everyone that owns one seems to love them. I'll be mostly towing loads of rock and driftwood from local beaches for landscaping, plowing snow, I'll probably get a mower for it eventually too. I rarely head out to trails just to ride so it'll be mostly a workhorse and I want the solid rear axle for towing.

Can you think of any reason the Rubi wouldn't be a good ATV for me?

Thanks.

Great choice for combination trail machine and indestrutable work horse. I pulled this trailer last month on a 250 mile trip in the wilds of Montana and Idaho. I didn't have any problems at all, and could pull the trailer fully loaded 850 pounds at 45 on the level.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I saw a video clip - honda's website - on the foreman and it had the single tail light. So it makes sense the Rubicon would as well. Personally, I prefer two tail lights like on the prior models.

IRS is not something that I have to have. The Rubicon still has a descent ride. Seems like by now the Rubicon would be EFI, have power steering (The foreman does). A little better brakes. But hey, it is still a great machine. I know just as soon as I were to buy one, those options would be offered the following year.
