the cheapest way to make it loud is to take off the spark-arrester core. it makes it sound pretty good, its easy (just take out the 3 bolts) and best of all its free!

I have a white bros full system and thought it was loud, but the dmc system blows it away. It also has the best dyno charts on the market.

 

Yes , I'm sure that some people complain about loud Mustangs, and loud Harleys, and loud things in general. Not everyone shares our appreciation of motors and everything to do with them

 

Take your pipe off, just leave the header (the two pipes, beore they join). That way, you'll have one noisy machine!! Don't do something you can't go backwards. When they're loud, they are loud!!!! My dad had a VMax bike with supertrapps, after a 1 hour ride, my ears would whistle for the same time!! The sound was sweet though. At idle, you could hear the gasses coming in and out of the cylinder!!
The best sounding pipe I ever heard was a Yoshi on a ZX7R, real deep throaty sound, but not loud...real great!

 

I'm not sure..But check to see if Cobra makes a pipe for the 400ex that will be loud and annoying.

The Yoshi pipe sounds good on the zx7r...But I prefer my muzzy. Yes loud...But runs great. The bike is a death trap. Too much for the street.

Your totally trippin man. Taking of the silencer doesnt make your 400 sound anything like a Indy car. Indy cars are really smooth sounding. It sounds more like a monster truck or something, or more like a hick truck. hehe
What sounds like an Indy car is a banshee with one of those 2into1 pipes, or just about any crotch rocket at 11,000 rpm.
