if you hate maintanice get a 400ex. they run strong for a very long time. but if you even take "ok" care of your quad i whould buy a z400. there engines and suspestion are the best in the 400 class. also i agree with barnhouse...i have a 700 raptor and it is the one of the fastest 4-stroke i ever rode.only other 4-strokes that keep up with it to me are the 450s. whould not recomend a 450 or 700 raptor for riders who are not experenced riders or riders who dont like to do maintanice

dude if uv only rode a 90 and a polaris i would go with a 300 or something to learn better but the problem is u will want more power like a month after u get it...... u feel like u can handle any thing like im 12 and i have a 250 and i could probably handle a 4r00 now.....(yes i do have a jetmoto and yes it is a off brand) but it is the same consept.... u could always put an exaulst bore it and jet it ...... if u get the 300 when u get tired of it.... i guess.

well im good with maintanice since i will always be cleaning it after going on trail rides and take care of it look it up and down after every ride to make sure everything is in working order and im also pretty mechanicly inclined since i have been working at a hobby shop for a couple of years and this year of school will be my second year of taking a auto class

i whould take a look at a 700 raptor if you feel you can handle it. i have one and it is the best all around bike i have ever rode. very fast in the desert, great on trails, and does good on mx tracks.

ok ill tell you again:any 450s are gonna suck on trails~dont get one!
z400~faster,better suspension,less reliable compared to the 400ex

get the 400ex it is great for beginner to expert riders, most reliable quad ever made, and it doesnt mean jack that its not water cooled...itll do any jump out there and if the quad cant go "fast enough" its your own fault because any 400+ size engine can do it all
4 4 00 00
4 4 0000 0000
4444 000000 00000
4 0000 0000
4 000 000
4 00 00 ex....

it might be less reliable than the 400ex....but it is still very reliable....if you take decent care of it, it will last pretty much forever...
