yes, i would drain it immediatly. hope fully you did not blow any seals. if it is not leaking oil after running it, thatn drain all out. i would also turn it over when you have the oil cap off. don't start the motor but just crank it a little and it should spit the majority of it out. than refill with the right amount and hopefully no damage was done.

Usually when you overfill these, the pressure will blow the lines right off the oil tank! Like he said, hopefully you have not blown out any of the seals.

Overfilling the engine with oil ahould not cause it to "burn oil insanely".
I have saw these units with up to 1 to 2 quarts to much oil in them with no adverse effects. People check the oil on a cold engine and it will always check low on these models. The engine needs to be warmed up and idled for about 5 minutes before checking the oil level. A cool trick when filling these units is after draining the crankcase and oil tank, changing the filter, when refilling, fill the oil tank to the very top, and your oil level will be just about perfect after starting and idling through.

If it is smoking, most likely it's valve guide seals. But also be sure it isn't your rings, by doing a compression test and leakdown test.
