This is my first post, so please bear with me. I am going to check out a '04 Rancher 250. The guy says it smokes some. Best guess at repair cost from minor to major, with me doing the wrench pulling. Thanks for any help or suggestions.

 

well, to begin with, there is no Rancher 250, either its a rancher 350 or a recon 250, A piston, rings, and gaskets will run you about 150 bucks, a bore should run you between 30 and 50 bucks. these are just guesstimates.

 

Thanks Honda Tech, you are so right. It is a Recon, my mistake. It is an '04 and he is asking 950 for it, so if I get it I can afford to spend some $$$. Thanks for the help. Jim
