2005 Honda Rancher
#1
I have a 2005 350 Rancher that only has 52 miles on it . Its been in a garage and the battery went dead. I purchased a new battery and now it will not shift. It has the push button shifter on the handlebars. I can shut the key off and it will shift for a while and then it stops shifting, until I shut the key off and turn it back on again. Does anyone know the reason for this?

Make sure the battery bolts are tight with a wrench, not a screwdriver, and the cables are not loose. If you still have a problem shifting with the ES, have your Honda dealer check if your vin number falls in the angle sensor recall. Have them replace it and your shifting issues should end
