ok well i finally got it fixed at a shop and watched. it required cutting off the brake lever so just the tube part was still in there. then they took an air powered punch to it for about 5 minutes till it went through. then it had to be sized down to fit back in. once they made sure it fit they welded the lever back on and 40 bucks later i was riding with brakes
