The Raptor 250 engine is out of the "Tricker" dirt bike.

Cool... so the 400EX is not gone... nice.
Honda just needs to get it up on the website... LOL... and stop concerning people... LOL

New suspension, new ergos, new seat, new plastics... (hopefully not more 450R looking)

A TRX700XX... good lord!... reckon they have the Raptor 700 in their sights finally? LOL...

I hope so...

If so, I guess a retired air cooled powerplant from the older dirtbikes?

Or a bored out revised TTR230?
The 230 is the only current air cooled I can find
And the stroke and compression matches... and then a Raptor 350 carb...

humm... might just be a little fun, if...

After that last post I looked... and that person is wrong...
It's not the big bear 250 engine...
That's a 230cc and NOT the TTR230 (223cc) as no spec matches but stroke.

....and that is exactly what all the nay sayers said about the 450 engines wasn't it....they were all going to grenade after 15 hours. Yet the 450R is the king of desert endurance racing. A little food for thought!</end quote></div>

I never said that about a 450, a 450 has more than enough power for a bike, so I can see it working in a quad. Now a 250f isn't all that powerful in the open, and in a ATV you know they will tame it down, and by then it is going to be a dog. Might as well go with a reliable air cooled 250 engine.
