Dont listen to the magazines they give mostly faulty information. If you want some real top speeds this is how it goes:
400ex=68mph
banshee=76mph
300ex=55mph
trailblazer250=50mph
raptor=78mph
mojave=48mph
blaster=58mph
warrior=53mph
scrambler 400 2x4=70mph
scrambler 500 2x4=65mph
scrambler 500 4x4=63mph
DS650=79mph

Those speeds sound about right except the 300ex and warrior. My stock warrior is faster than my friends piped 300ex. I think it should be the other way around: 300ex 53mph & Warrior 55mph

 

For once I agree with the Polaris man, those are clo0se numbers scram daddy, what do u think a bout a LT500R,LT250R,TRX250R, TECATE 250, is an ATC 250R faster than a TRX250R in a straight line because of its weight?

 

Scramdaddies is baoput right except for the Banshee and the DS650. The Banshee does about 71-73. That might be righty with the DS but most only do about 77-78 mph.

A Mojave will do more than 48.

 

GR8T250R I got the readings from a local shop that has a dyno, they have all thier readings catagorized, I can get you readings for almost any quad out there.
I had my scrambler dyno'ed at 36bhp at 5800rpm's and the top speed read 70mph at 6700rpm's with 23bhp.

'87to'92 LT250 =68mph
88 TRX250R =72mph
TECATE 250 =67mph

I dont know about the drag race deal between the atc and trx 250R, the best I can do for you is get a 0 to 30 reading for both machines from my dealer.
