Just received my new ATVsport. They posted top speed of some bikes.Not my opinions just info.(?=not posted) DS650=68mph,fx400-?,400ex=60,scram5004x4=57,2x4=58,4002x4=57,banshee =?,Raptor=68,Warrior=?,300ex=45(?),Mojave=54,Trail blazer=42,Blaster=? The one that seems questionable is 300ex.I am not trying to start arguments here.

 

300ex has been listed as 52 before

45 can't be right

i think the mojave is too fast..should be 52 also


blaster should be around 55

 

I have seen in other magazines that a 400EX has a top speed of 64 mph.

 

my friends mojave goes 53

 

My Raptor does 93.232345678 in 4th gear! Those numbers can't be right. Seriously though, is'nt it wierd that top speeds keep dropping in the mags? Maybe the magazine people want the sport atv's around this time and fudge a little on the top speed numbers....anyone remember the old atv issue that had the Banshee & lt500 at the dragstrip running almost 80mph stock? A guy even posted the exact numbers not long ago in this forum.

 

I know for a fact that the 400 EX gaoes faster, as do all of the Polaris' listed.

 

A friends friend of mine has a buddy that has a Blaster that will run 91 beside a speeding car.

 

I know for a fact that my Tblazer will do 50mph.

 

aside from other sources, this one seems conflicting enough by itself. they might all be correct in certain conditions, but aparently they didnt test many of the machines together

polaris's going 58 and 57
mojave goin 54
and the 300ex only capible of 45

the numbers just dont fit together
give 5 ppl the same machine to test and u'd get 5 differnt topspeeds back
only thing that really matters are direct comparisions

 

The scramblers and 400ex go about 65-69 stock.... when fully broken in(at least for the 4 strokes)
300ex goes a lot more than 45. don't listen to atv sport for there top speeds. they must test the top speeds with the worlds fattest man on the quads.
