Default Honda plastic plugs

Just wondering, has anyone found an alternative to those annoying plugs that Honda uses to hold the plastic panels together? I forgot how much I hated them, seems I lose a couple every time I do some maintenance.

Not bad design, they are doing exactly what they are supose to do. They pop off and keep the plastic from getting torn.

Maybe they are a nuisance, but that is how they are designed.

If you have a Lowe's close by, in the hardware section in the drawers, they have plastic pins that come close to those pins. Alot cheaper too

If they pop out just bumping it on the trailer, get some new ones for that spot. The old ones have gotten weak if they are popping out on a little bump like that. Besides, they are dirt cheap. I hit a stump in the woods a couple of years ago with my right front fender. The first 2 popped off but the 3rd one had a bolt in it. It was at that point the the black mud flare stopped coming of and started tearing the fender. You do NOT want bolts. Much cheaper to replace a 50 cent clip once in a while than take a chance on replacing a $175 front fender. Or rear. They are both expensive.

Those things are always on e-bay or wherever by the 10 pack, cheap. I keep a pack in each machine.
