Im workin on a 93 fourtrax 4x4 for a friend who complained that he bought it from somebody and they said it had a rod knock. My first thoughts were to inspect valve adjustment and they are both .020> after setting them roughly the noise disappeared.
But i need the correct spec?????

The valve clearances for a 1993 TRX300FW is: VALVE CLEARANCE: 0.15 mm (0.006 in)

 

Hey, can anybody help me out w/ my 93' fourtrax "knocking"? It ge faster as the throttle opens up, I assume adjusting the valves may help, but I have no idea where to start, any help? Previous threads on this subject??
