My friend has a 400EX and wants to know what the best pipe for it is. I know this question has probably been beaten to a pulp at some point, but I wasn't watchin when it was. So any info would be helpful. Also let me know the prices. THANKS

WB E-Series but its loud. If you want something a little quieter check out the Supertrapp IDS2.

well i have to put my 2 cents in, i own a 2000 400ex, and i run the Big Gun Full Race Series system on it, i have run against DOuble Barrel's, White Bro's, and FMF's, none of them compare to the low end power and mid range that the big gun has. That is my opinion, you can get the whole system for around $350

I just got my dmc double barrel today. It looks like its a very well built pipe.much better than my old fmf.I'll have to wait until my pingrys oil tank comes in before I can ride it. Check out gt thunders website they did a comparison with diffrent pipes.

I have a supertrapp It works really good, and gives much better mid-high RPM power over the stock pipe.

You need to ask him if he has any plans on getting any engine mods done. Some of the aftermarket exhausts only work good on a stock bike, such as the Big Gun. If he doesn't plan on doing any mods, then any slip on would be fine and he could even spring for the Big Gun System if he wants the extra horsepower from the aftermarket header pipe.

Now if later on down the road he wants to put in a different cam and piston, then he would need to have more flow. There are a lot of free flowing exhausts out there, it is all down to personal prefrence. Here are a few I would recommend:

DMC Full System- $480
White Bros. Pro-meg Full System $450
LRD 400EX Exhaust $365
TC Race Pipe- $315
Sparks Racing X-4- $400
