I have an 05 also and my high voltage exciter coil went out in mine 7 months after i bought it. Do you have a wiring diagram so you know what to check?

 

yes i have the service manual give me you e mail address and i will send it to you.
i checked the stator and it is ohming out fine so i think it has to be the switch. i couldn't get any thing from the switch. i will let you know if it works.
