Default PLEASE HELP

I went hunting yesterday on my 88 Honda 300 4X4, and never even had it at half throttle. when I got back from hunting and put it up, it ran fine, but I just started it up and it was smoking worse than it has ever had, and smelt like something was burning. I just rebuilt the top end in it last month. Please tell me what could be wrong with it. It hasn't been in any mud in a long time, and is kept in a shed.
Thanks in advance

It has the same amount of oil in it that it did when I checked it last week. It's been broken in for a while(I ride a lot), and was broken in mostly easily.

if you never had it past throttle, then the rings probably never seated right, try running the **** out of it but i doubt that will fix it this late in the game

my bike, starts at -15 F with 0 smoke, air temp has nothing to do with it. if you let it warm up the smoking will eventually stop, bikes should not smoke period, believe whatever makes you feel better
