Default Help on 300ex

Hey I was just wondering what are some of the easy and for the most part cheap ways to make a 300ex even just little by little faster because all my friends have bigger faster quads but mine doesnt keep up and on a tight budget I need some help on some ways to make it faster in a cheap manner.

Thanks everyone

There is a fair bit of hop up potential in this engine! UNI air filter (K&N will pass dirt!), vent the aibox lid, aftermarket muffler...and of course a rejet.

The 300 desperately needs a bigger header. When I bought an FMF PowerCore 4 muffler, it came with a header.

If you didn't eject shrapnell into the crank case and cause other damage. I think you'll be fine with a new jug and a top end rebuild.

cheap way to vent the airbox is drill holes in it.. but that also lets lots of particles in.. if you do this i suggest an outerwear on your filter.. they also make aftermarket air box lids with holes in the top of the lid that have foam inserts
