Is it state law in N.C. that you have to have on a helmet if your riding an ATV.

P.S.*****I know that you should and you would be crazy not too, but I'm asking if it is a madatory state law.

 

I think it is a law in all states. but i am not sure.

 

I live in Greensboro and I see people riding without helmets all the times. I don't think police know about a law if there is one because they never stop the people riding witout helmets.You have to at the tracks so there may be one.Call the DMV.Good luck!

 

Yeah, i would call te dmv and find out. I know i have been riding on the side of roads many times(w/ my helmet) and police just drive right by.

 

well ive had 2 friends killed on a warrior riding the road without a helmet and hit another head on...going on 2 years now... they where so stupied and paid the price...we all are still greaving them...anyways, just dont be stupid people WEAR YOUR HELMETS even if it aint a law.... i know you said you still would and thats smart....

I know for Texas the helmet laws for ATVs are on the website for the Texas DMV. You may try looking it up on your states web site.

 

I think wearing a helmet on a ATV is a great idea.
But, isn't it your job to keep yourself safe? The government should keep out of our lives. We live a hard life as it is. We give them money and they make stupid laws. Don't get me wrong! I would have to be on death toll to not wear a helmet while riding. But, it is not any of the governments business what I do and what I don't do.

Here it also the law to wear a helmet on a bicycle. Call me a fool, But I don't ride with a helmet on a bike. But, I don't ride bikes but on rare occasions.
