i think it will stack up nicely to the rappy and the KFX

does anyone else think it looks funny?</end quote></div>

The front fenders look pretty goofy. But if you look at the close up pictures on Honda's web site you can see that the black portion of the front plastic is removable. Take those black bat-mobile fenders off of it, and it actually looks pretty good to me.

Its a high powered trail ATV for pleasure. The IRS is srtickly for rider comfort over rough terrain, ground clearance and less maintenance than a chain.

<div class="FTQUOTE"><begin quote>Originally posted by: rappy666

the 700xx cant beat the rappy!!!! the most important reason why is cause it weighs 508 pounds and the raptor weighs 396 thats 114 pounds of difference and alot on the straight away, and dont you think its pretty convenient that it has exactly the same amount of cc as the raptor(they ripped the motor off the rappy)(opinion) but i think the raptor has it.</end quote></div>

As has been discussed before the Hondas weight is listed full of all fluids and the Rappy weight is with no fluids, so the weight difference ready to ride is not even close to 114 pounds.

And just because it has the same bore/stroke does not mean it is the same engine. There have been no leaks on the power of Hondas new 686 cc engine yet. As most know the 700 Raptor's stock head design is not the most efficient and there is a lot of power to be had yet in the Raptor stock heads. It will be interesting to see what the Honda's head design is like, if it unleashes some of the power available with the 686 cc or holds it back.

Also the IRS on the 700xx still uses a chain drive. It is just that the chain does not move with the suspension. It is stationary with the frame, like on the Outlaw, therefore not as prone to stretching, twisting or other power robbing forces like on a swingarm chain.

the engine is nothing like the rappy... its a single cylender... and it does have a chain drive... just not the same as with a solid axle. all in all it should be a tourque monser but we shall see

The Raptor is a twin cylinder now?

I'm a hardcore hona guy and i can't see the point in them making a 700, it makes no sense, i mean if they want something to go against a raptor or something, they already have it, the 450r, and the 700 is gonna be like the raptor, top heavy with top speed and nothing else, i can't see the point in it, i mean if you want a faster bike for the woods get a 400, they run good and they're bullet proof
