At the dirt drag strip, my 440 was whipping piped Banshee's 250R's, whatever was out there. The only one I didn't beat was a Raptor. He beat me by about 1 quad length. All I have done is the 440 kit, stock pipe, stock cam, stock all.

I have a 440 kit on my 2000 400ex and it hauls ***. I also have whitebros. rev box, K&N filter and stage 2 jet kit, and supertrap ids pie. I have beaten every quad except a 660r. but that will change once i have changed my gearing. Everyother quad seems slow now.

Wish I had the money to keep going but those few things along with nerf bars and boots and a new engine for my truck set me back a little. The raptor doesnt beat me by much. Do you have a case guard on your bike? If you do where did you get it. In all the catalogs Ive read they say you have to take it off. Thanks

Do you have larger valves or just a 3 angle job.

99' 440 12.1, ported, cammed, hardened rockers, modified head pipe w/WB R-4, cdi, modified airbox, 16 counter ran off Klotz 113. Motor to new to let loose.

How much is a 440 kit? I am pretty new to the mechanics of quads. My dad use to do it all but he wants me to learn. Do you have to take the engien into a mechanic or can it be done in my garage?
