Default bike sat up and now smokes when I rev it

I h ave an 01 400ex. My bike never smoked before. The pipe is completely shot on it so this may be an indication as to why. Before it sat up, I would start it and rev it, and I would get a puff of smoke or too then it would be fine.

The bike sat up for 3 months without starting. I had problems starting it the other day, well I had problems starting it. I put my hand over the filter hole to act as a choke, and it backfired. I changed the plug today. The bike fired up. The problem I have is that it smokes when I rev it high. I let it idle, and I didnt get any smoke coming out. I did not take the bike for a ride or anything. I just let it sit and run. I was to scared to ride it with the smoke issue. Im hoping that if I do take it on a run that it will just blow all that **** that has been sitting there.
What do yall think?

Your read correctly. You have oil between the head and piston. Just take it out and ride it. Make sure there is enough oil in the case though.
