Default Anyone have a Trail Tech Vapor Tach

Has anyone seen or know of anyone how has tried a Trail Tech Vapor computer. I am interested in getting one but have heard mixed results. Some on the forum have praised and others I have talked with said it was a waist of many.

Any thoughts are appeciated in advance.

Default Anyone have a Trail Tech Vapor Tach

I just recently installed the Vapor on my 400ex and I love it...main reason being is that I can monitor the engine temp...Very Vital. It has several nice features including, overrev light, shift light, temp caution light, overtemp warning light...on top of the other standard features. the one thing I noticed about the engine temp sensor is that it doesn't register until the engine gets over 100 deg. that works out well because I use that to indicate when the bike is warmed up enough to start riding. One drawback i noticed right away is the tach and speedo are a bit slow on the uptake...meaning the refresh rate on the screen is a little slow...which kinda makes the shift light inaccurate. That and some of the abbreviations on the display can be a bit confusing until you get to know them. other than that...I would highly recommend...mainly for the temp feature alone! Hope this helps
