TRX200D Type II
My son races motocross and I picked up a '93 TRX200D to use as a pit machine, I got it for $100 so you can imagine the shape it is in.
It has been abused and not cared for all that well, 4 flat tires when I got it and no brakes are my concerns right now. I got the front tires to hold air and the front brakes to work and then ran into a problem...
How in the world do you get that rear drum off? I have the right spindle off, it took PB Blaster, heat and a 3' cheater bar to get the nut off next to the drum. Now I have the machine on jackstands on its side (and oil all over the floor because the starter is out of it too) so the left wheel can drop with the axle. I have sprayed a ton of PB Blaster on it, heated it with Mapp gas and it isnt moving.
Are there bolts holding it in place? I wouldnt think there was but dont know hardly anything about quads. I pulled the drain plug out....is there supposed to be oil in there? Yes, it is that bad!
Thanks!
Ed.
