Default 2002 rubicon help

Code 6 is swash plate angle code.
ECM could be bad, connection contacts or wire harness leading to the angle sensor, bad shift motor, shift motor connection, or a bad bearing within the transmission unit.
Normally when there is a bad bearing or shift control motor issue, a 10 code will also be displayed (ecm fail safe relay system).
There is a threaded shaft within the transmision unit. This threaded shaft is turned by the shift control motor. It threads through the swash plate and when turned alters the swash angle. On the end of this shaft is a small bearing. Rare as it sounds, I have seen a few of these bearings go out causing the 6 code to be displayed. I hope this is not the case for you, as the hondamatic unit will need replacement.
I have to ask, did you install the sensor and preload it ?
Also, have you removed the ECM and cleaned the connections then reinstall the ECM ?

When the sensor is installed, it must be preloaded before bolted on.
When the sensor is bolted on, the connector end is in near the 10 o'clock position.
When you first set the sensor on the unit during install, the connector end of it should face in near the 5 o'clock position then turned clockwise to the 10 o'clock position with spring resistance felt. Then bolt it down and reinitialize the ECM.
