Ok heres the scoop. I rebuilt my 400ex to a 440. New Hot rod crank and bearings. Hot Cam stage 3. n Did all the carb work as well...Didnt like it. But it ran fine! Now re-do all that again, but now using a je 12:1 415, same crank and bearings(only ran it for a week as a 440...low hours on bottom end, i used it again) and a stage 1 Hotcam. Also i put on a new heavyduty cam chain. Ive been having lots of starting problems with it now. As far as starter, and silinoid. So i found out it was the starter. Put a new one on. Well it starts and i let it warm up. I go around the yard and it starts tickin real bad and cut off. Cilinder wall fine. Getting gas, fine. Valves and seals, all new and gauged. It turns over and over and over. NOTHING. It even has a new plug. It has a old NOLOGY hotplug, could that be the awnser to my question¿ Sorry if i Mrs.Pelled sum werdz in thys for-em!!!

Are you actually getting spark? Have you held the plug against the motor and cranked....and saw spark? Thats where Id start.
If you have spark, it may be timed wrong. Did the marks get lined up correctly, on the timing chain? You might want to verify that.

 

Yes i checked the spark on a good ground. Its got a teether swith, which i know is workin fine because when i try to start it, it sparks, and when i remove it it does not! Now for the timing, i did that this mornin. most of the time i can time it with the sprocket on the cam. this time i took it off, put it TDC(the ''t'' mark on fly wheel) put the sprocket on the cam(lobes down) one bolt at a time. First the top one, then rotated one turn to put the other one in. Still nothing.
