Rancher Generator
#1
Havent had a chance to put it to the test yet, but how does the generator hold up to winch's, sprayers, and other accesseries that pull power? My parents have an 06' Recon and after a few hours of use of the sprayer gotta shut the sprayer off and let it run high idle for a while to pump the batt back up, just wonderin thanks guys!

A Recon has a smaller capacity YTX12BS battery
Single phase alternator capable of .13 kilowatt at 5000 RPM
Compared to a Rancher which has a larger capacity YTX14BS Battery
Tripple phase alternator capable of .245 kilowatt at 5000 RPM
So the answer is yes, the battery will drain with the load of a sprayer on the Recon
( I also have this problem when plowing snow at night with my Recon's lights, hand warmers and thumb warmers on high) I did put in the YTX14BS battery in it and it helped add some time, and also took longer to charge back up with everything turned off on the unit.
I cured the issue by selling the unit and using my Foreman for more of the lighter duties the Recon had

Ive been reading alot on the Ricky Stator mods on the re winding of the stators to support more or higher wattage lights, etc. He doesnt show on his website any of the re worked stators for ranchers mainly sport quads. Do these new 420's run on AC or DC?
