I recently purchased a 1986 honda 300 fourtrax for my kid and got it home to find out it would not start.Upon tinkering I realized it wasnt getting spark.I checked further and found I wasnt getting power to the coil.Looked for loose or unconnected wires with no luck.Anyone have any ideas where to start looking.Stumped!!![img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-disgusted.gif[/img]

 

I am confused, there was no 300 honda in 86, is it a 350 ?
If it is a 300, is it a 96 ?

Now I,m confused also.On the front of the frame it has a silver plate that says 1986 300fw.It is pretty much identical to my 98'300 fourtrax.Plate looks to be original

 

More to earlier reply,I also found on the jug where it is stamed 291cm.Hope this helps.
