i think the 250r are the best bikes from the 80s. there frames were the best by far. banshee are good if you want to build a hill killer no budget bike. i whould highly recomend buying one of these bike. even if you dont like it you cant sell it no problem for what you bought it for. but you wont want to get rid of it. they were king **** on the track untill the 450s came out.

 

i was wondering if i should save my money and buy a 450r or buy a modded 250r. what is faster a lt250r or 250r. remember im 5'6" 140lb

I have been doing a lot of research and i would buy the 250r over the lt250r or the 450r. there is just so much that can be done to them plus there easy to work on and reliable too. I plan on buying one if i can find one other wise ill get a banshee

 

can you still race 2-strokes today in 2008

 

Most places have 2-stroke class but im sure some don't. I know if you have harescrambles where you live you can race 2-strokes

 

the only bad thing i have found about the 250r for trail riding is you have to mix the gas. I can only get around 40 miles per tank so that means a lot of mixing and you can't just pull up to gas station and fill up. If you live in southern WI i will be selling my 88 this spring. I just don't have time to ride it anymore.

with most open classes you can race most anything.
