Engine or Motor ?
#1
OK, I was argueing with a feller and I think I am right.
I happened to call an engine, 'motor' during conversation and it spured the arguement.
He said a powerplant in a quad is called an engine as it is powered off fuel, and a motor is powered off electricity....
Here is my point.... Honda has a kw rating on their powerplants so actually it IS a motor
Who is correct ?

I can get stubborn when in an arguement... hehehe
Some good points so far, I should have thought of the marine aspect for arguement sake

Great points but it is still internal combustion requiring fuel engine. if it generates revolutions by electricity motor. This has and could go on forever Anyway it's still too cold to take out the engineboat, haha.........
