You can't go far wrong picking an oil that is API SG/JASO MA. Beyond that, the ester synthetics are superior to petroleum oil and the two other types of synthetics.

I like RedLine, Maxima, Motul, and Klotz, all of whom have one or more ester synthetics. These are all expensive, but worth it for superior protection! I can't see why someone will pump thousands of dollars into their ride, and then bitch about spending $8 for a quart of oil.......
