Engine mods finished(for now)....on to the body/chassis, any suggestions?
#1
I have finished my mods to the engine on my 300ex for now. This thing runs sweet!! i havent had a chance to see exactly how fast it is yet against anything bigger(400ex,banshee,etc.) but it feels a whole lot faster all the way around! I am about to move on to chassis components and i need some ideas. I know i am getting an axle, shocks, maybe offset spindles. I dont know if i should get wider a-arms and axle b/c i ride in VERY tight trails and i barely fit now. do they make a-arms that only add like maybe a 1/2 inch to each side or maybe an inch on each side? same goes for the axle....thanks

hm..you could really use suspension!
get yourself a set of 400ex A-arms, they add almost 2 inches, and 1 inch forward.
get the weld in shock tower, and use 400ex shocks.
You can get a Durablue axle in Stock lenghts
I'm not sure about the LoneStar

they have it
but you have to completely remove your old shock tower and weld the new one in
my est
Shock tower+Welding 150
400ex A-arms 200
Shocks 150
Tie Rods 20
if you aren't handy with a hack saw and a grinder don't attempt this mod..you can get towers that don't have to have to old one cut out. I liked removing my old one, i think its going to be very solid when i'm done with it. I can take pictures of it mounted in the jig
or if anyone else wants them before i get my site done
