changing coolant

changing coolant
The traditional chemistry coolant, green stuff, may test OK for freeze protection, but it looses it's corrosion protection after two years.
I'd say that the engineers that designed, built and tested the machine know best what it needs, and that coolant is not expensive or hard to change...
Just don't use automotive coolant. It has silicates (abrasives) in it as part of the corrosion protection package, but silicates will reduce the life of the smaller seal in motorcycle and atv water pumps.
Buy ATV/Motorcycle specific coolant, which will be silicate free.
