Can anyone give me tips or tell me how to re-jet the carburator, Anyone

 

what do you need to rejet it for? did you get a pipe airbox mod? i need to no that in order to tell you what to do

 

one of my buddies told me to get my 200sx to go faster I need to take off the airbox lid, pump up the tires, get a new plug and re-jet the carb., I didnt know what to do.Got any tips. I dont even know where to start.

 

if you really want to go fast. Sell it and get a sport..

 

If you want to make your ride faster you need to do more than what your friend mentioned. Airbox mods are a start, but an airbox mod works better when a new pipe is added. This will really increase your flow. When you change these things, then you need to increase the size of your main jet one to three sizes. This will make the most of your mods.
Pumping up your tires will make your tires harder and have a smaller "footprint" but will also make them slightly taller which will make your quad slightly higher geared. This will give you an increase (infinitesimal) in top speed but at the loss of handling/ride.
If you want it to accellerate faster, do the airbox/pipe mods. They are inexpensive and easy to do.
