Okay, looking for some advice from some experienced folks here. I am looking for an aftermarket speedometer for the Rancher 420 2wd. I know that there are some gps possibilites, but I am looking for a true speedometer/hour meter unit.

This is what I have found out so far:
Trail Tech makes a unit that can be used on the 07 Rancher 420, although it is not made specifically for this model quad. I spoke with Chris at Trail Tech and he advised that the Endurance 4010-20 should work with a few minor mod's.

Now, has anyone here actually installed one of these (or another brand of speedometer) on a Rancher 420? Any words of wisdom or advice would be most appreciated.

 

I just installed a Trail Tech on my KFX. Pretty easy installation. I have the Vapor, so I also got the tach.

Only thing I didn't like was the mounting piece that comes with it. Just a simple loop over one side of the bars. They do make mounting kits that actually encase the unit itself. Looks to be like my next investment.
