HELP!, I HAVE A FRIEND THAT OWNS A HONDA 4X4 350 2005 2'' LIFT KIT KENDA EXUCUTIONER TIRES GREEN IN COLOR. HE BOUGHT IT BRAND NEW AT THE BEGINNING OF 2006 HE RODE IT AND PUT THE TIRES ON IT AND THE LIFT AND HARDLY EVER RODE IT, THEN HE DECIDED HE WANTED TO BORE IT FOR MORE POWER AND WHEN HE HAD IT DONE HONDA DEALERSHIP HERE LEFT A PART OFF OF THE MOTOR AND IT WAS SCREWED AGAIN AFTER 10-20 HOURS, HONDA DID A FREE BORE OF THE MOTOR AND IT RAN FINE FOR 33 HOURS, THEY ABSOLUTELY NEVER RIDE IT, SO THE FIRST SNOW STORM OF THE SEASON HE WANTED TO PLAY IN THE SNOW AND WHEN HE GOT TO THE GATE TO DRIVE THROUGH IT DIED AND HAS COMPRESSION AND TURNS OVER BUT WONT FIRE, HAS NO IDEA WHAT IS WRONG, AND WANTS TO SELL IT TO ME FOR 1000. WHAT COULD IT POSSIBLY BE AND IF IT WAS CATASTROPHIC HOW MUCH COULD A NEW MOTOR BE?

Default HELP

The lesson to be learned here is to not mess with a perfectly good engine! If he wanted more omph, he should have traded it in on a Rancher 420!

ok good compression and good spark, turns over like it should start but doesnt any ideas on the carbureator

OH SO HERES THE NEWS...WE OWN A DEALERSHIP/MECHANIC SHOP, I HAD MY UNCLE WHO OWNS IT LOOK AT THE FOUR WHEELER, WE TOOK OFF THE PLUG WIRE AND ITS GETTING SPARK, WE TOOK OUT THE PLUG AND IT HAD OK COMPRESSION AND THE SPARK PLUG WAS FINE , SO I TOOK OFF THE AIR FILTER AND SPRAYED SOME STARTING FLUID IN IT AND ....THIS IS WHERE THE CONCLUSION REST, INSTEAD OF SUCKING AIR INTO THE CARB IT IS THROWING AIR OUT, SO ITS NOT GETTING FUEL TO THE MOTOR OR TAKING IN GAS, OR THAT STARTING FLUID, SO WE FIGURED IT WAS A STUCK/BURNED VALVE THAT IS CAUSING THE OPPOSITE REACTION ANY OTHER IDEAS, OR KNOW HOWS ON VALVE PROBLEMS OR PRICES TO FIX, I NEED AS MUCH HELP AS POSSIBLE.

ok so wat if my decompressor levor was stuck or open causing the valve to be open and blow air from cylinder out where is the decompressor on a 350 rancher

Its on the exhaust side, so thats not gonna be it.
Remove the valve cover, and watch whats going on when you turn the motor over. The intake valve is stuck open, or adjusted wrong, would be my guess, but that should have shown up on a compression test. Maybe the chain has jumped time? Theres a short chain between the crank and the in block cam.

How do I get to the valve cover?
