The Most Worst Sport Qaud i have ever heard of
Does not Desvre the name of a "Sport Qaud"
You would have to Think they would make something to Compete against the Raptor and the Ds650 and the Banshee.

I agree 100% honda obiously gave up on the big guys and made the ultimate "tyke bike" Why not make a real sport quad they have the potential. Just take a look at what they put out 14 years ago. The 250EX doesn't deserve to be a sport quad and honda doesn't deserve any attention for this pathetic product it has put out.

Take a chill pill 250X, they're talking about the new 250EX, autoclutch, shaft drive, Recon motor powered quad. I think they'll sell a ton of them. It fills the void between the TRX90 and the 3-400EX. It'll be a great beginner quad.

Hey there.First off I totally agree with what you say about the 250x because I own one and have eaten my share of 300ex'x with it.Second of all I wanted to get to you before some a-hole does that starts slamming your comment.Honda either has or is fixing to release a new quad called the 250ex and its not anything like the 250x or 300ex.Its more of a hybrid between a sport and work quad.By all the articles I have read about it I agree with BansheeBoy8 on saying that it doesnt deserve to be a sport quad.Look it up online or in a magazine and you will see what we mean.Im sure I speak for the others in saying that they agree with you about the performance of the 250x.Hope that clears things up without someone getting trampled on.Hasta!!

ahhh, i don't know what to say, other than "250x better wake the &^*# up and be knowledgable about the topic that he is responding to" First of all, I agree completely with BansheeBoy and 250Roost, the new 2001 TRX250EX is a joke. why would they consider a 250, shaft drive a sport quad. all it is is a Recon with Sporty plastics on it. Come on Honda, you can do better than that. Yes, the TRX250R, released in 1986, is now 15 years old, yet it is still the dominator of the PRO Racing classes. The only thing that comes close to it is the YZ400F motor stuffed into an aftermarket frame, which is what Yamaha should have done, instead of making the (in my opinion) inferior Raptor. what a joke. If some people in this country would quit worrying about the environment and air pollution, Honda would be producing brand new 2002 TRX250R's today. They can make 2-stroke bikes, but not a 2-stroke quad, yeah right. If they would get off of their duffs and quit shalacking their glacknoid, they would see what a demand there is for a new 250R. Even if it was an exact replica of an 89 R, i would definatley buy one. I know about a gazzilion others that would too.

Oh yeah, 250x, the 250x and 300ex are great machines. Just be more informed next time.

You guys crack me up.....

First, let's look at the facts. Utility quads out-sell sport quads 5-1. Now out of all of the sport quads sold today, how many of the "soon-to-be" new owner's are racer's? (very few) The vast majority of sport quad buyer's are weekend trail riders that want a quality machine that will keep running week in, week out. A very small portion of "you" want a machine with a larger motor that goes 90mph.
For every Raptor that Yamaha sells, Honda will sell 20 250EX's. Add in the amount of money Honda makes on spare parts, service and add-on's and they will be laughing all the way too the bank. While Yamaha is still wondering why they are #3 in sales behind Polaris(#2-who makes only utility and kid's quads) and Honda(#1).

If you ask me, the 250EX is a great concept. And I hope that it turns out too be a great quad as well. My girlfriend and I have been looking for a quad for her for awhile now. She wanted something sporty(good looks, nice ride, easy controls), but sport quads with a manual clutch turned her off. She wanted too enjoy the ride instead of worrying about how too drive the machine. Plus a quad that goes 90mph has no use for her, since she rarely travels over 30mph.
The 250EX has the sporty looks, easy controls, and the right tools too get her started in the right direction of ATVing.....having FUN.

Just because you don't like something, doesn't mean everyone else agree's with you.

One more thing.....

If your talkig about racing. Visit any organized AMA event, and you will see that the 250r, 400EX and 300EX dominate each of thier classes. Yamaha is a distant 2nd.

Hey guys so much confusion, all were saying is that Honda is wasting there time. Why not hit the REAL high performance lineup of quads? They need to take off there diapers and go big!! The thing that pisses me off is that they can dominate the high performance world of atv's and they're not. Cant they see the impact that the TRX 250R made on racing? And not just racing look how reliable they are look how long they've survived and at there value today. They could get alot more attention and money than they are with the 250EX.
