Default A Dumb Taillight question

I picked up a new 07 Rancher and when I got it home all worked well but the taillight and brakelight do not work. Rather than hauling it back to the dealer for such a silly thing I THOUGHT I could fix something like a taillight that doesn't work. Well not that simple.

After considerable time trying to figure out how to get into the taillight, I finally got it off. The red lense cover has some little tabs that I am concerned about prying on. Looking through the lense, I actually can't even see a bulb! It looks like a circuit board is in there and no visible bulb except some three little evenly space bumbs that may illuminate... I dont know.

Anyway, any advice on this? Any particular wires that come loose that I should be looking at rather than the taillight?

Neither the taillight or the brake light work. So much for my intelligence, can't even fix a taillight.

It's a sealed LED array, no user changeble parts. Check the wiring harness to see if it's come loose or is disconnected behind the battery.

that is what it was... a plug was not plugged in the battery box area. Plugged it in and had lights. The brake light stayed on but adjusted that and all is good. Even still starts which a little surprising as the loose plug was stuff way down in the box and had to pull of wires a bit to get it out.

Thanks for the help

It's pretty amazing how bright LED's are nowadays. I have some red/blue LED strobes that even though they are small, are way too bright to gaze at for very long. They look really slick at night on the trails.
