I am going to pull the stator this weekend and need to know if there is anything i need to know before i pull it.

 

Nope you should be good use a puller to get the flywheel off and dont break any of the whires whene you unbolt the stator. GOOD LUCK

 

Do you have a shop manual that explanes removing the drive shaft ..?..

 

no does the drive shaft need to come out

that way looks a little easier than the way i did it. it didn't look like there was a snap ring on the drive shaft. thank you for the info. i think i found the problem to the intermitent spark. the palse generator is not working all the time. resistance through it changes as i shake it and it dosn't always pick up the sensor as it spins around.
