I would like to point out there is more to this act. If the company can prove that the after market item caused the failure or damage they CAN void your warranty for that section. I am not saying that honda has proven this or tried, i am just saying there is more to it than what you simply stated. Sorry to hear it didn't work out well for you. This is why i never do extended warranties for anything. No matter what brand you buy you can run into this problem.

I think you are mad about 2 different things, and on one of them I just don't think you should be. I have never seen any person do work without some commitment to pay if the warranty does not cover it. Bikes, Cars, heck, even your doctor makes you sign a form that says you will pay if your insurance doesn't.
Now, if you have information that Honda specifically tries to weasel out of warranty repairs by calling normal wear "abuse", then I'm with you that sucks. But to me it looks like that's just what you suspect, not something you have any inside info on.

sorry bud ,i don't buy this for a sec, my quad is an 02 and has been over racks in water and mud multiple times, my compression is 5 psi from brand new specs. i have 0 scratches and 0 burning out the tail pipe issues. 18 months? lol something got in, im on almost 6000 miles on my bike now and it runs flawless
hell look at my avatar, thats a normal day for me. i run the stock air filter too

Yeah something doesn't seem right there. I know many people who run the heck out of their Honda machines and don't have issues. They also do regular servicing. I would say its a lemon, but you have been riding for 18 months haven't you?

I didn't read all the other posts, but I wouldn't say Honda sucks, but I don't care for the new ones. as a matter of a fact, the only Honda I like is the 300 fourtrax, its a tank. As for your luck, I got one word for ya...YAMAHA
