Default 2007 rancher needs cigarette plug

Hey Voodoo01, thanks for posting about the pre-installed honda wiring. I have an 07 Rancher and am going to add the 12V recepticle. I went to the Honda dealership today to order one, and they looked at me like I was from another planet. They had no clue that the Rancher was pre wired to add a Honda OEM recepticle. I made the parts guy go into the exploded diagrams, and then he found the lead. If I am looking for it on my bike, will it be next to the radiator? Will it be taped up, or will I know what I am looking at?

Will I have to remove any of the plastic to see it, or to get to it?

jrafter is right. Sitting on the atv its on the right side and is clipped to the radiator housing. The plug itself has a blank cover in the end so you'll need to pull it out with a pair of needle nose pliers.

Also, jrafter, this weekend I'll measure the hole and let you know. Sorry to have taken so long, but haven't had time to go out to the shop.

Thanks jrafter. Mine came with that same bracket. That's the other reason I mounted it where I did. I too have a storage box on my front rack and it would hinder the use of the outlet if it was mounted using that bracket. I should have the chance to measure the hole this weekend and I'll let you know.
