Hard to tell w/o actually being there, but I didn't hear anything that sounded unhealthy...

What do you think, Gimpster?

Doh!

I have just discovered a stupid mistake. I mis-read the specs as being inches when it should have been in milimeters. Rather then setting the exhaust at .009, I set it at .023. Tomorrow I'll tear the plastic off again and re-set the valves to the correct specs.

And I thought at 57 I still knew everything......

Doh... At least now you know exactly how the plastic attaches, so I bet it will be much quicker.

I just listened to the vid. Been running around applying for tech jobs and working out of my own shop. Looks like I may end up with Harley. Back to the vid... Them push rods is hammerin'
Honest mistake

sac7000 that's the way the valves should sound , they're dead bang on spot that's the way every Honda i ever adjusted ; if you get them to tight they may sound quieter but the engine will run hotter and could burn a valve and i've seen it happen to many time's in the past 20 yrs that i was in small engine service and repair running my own shop till i retired in late 99' !..........

I'm a new Rancher owner ( 08 TRX420FM ) and was wandering after the first break-in value adjustment at 20-25 hours, how often do the values need to be adjusted? Dealer told me 3-4 times a year. Is that accurate or is the dealer trying to drum up business?

Thanks in advance.
